See You In Heaven
Holy Cross Catholic Church · Vero Beach, Florida

His homilies stayed with us.

Fr. Danny Murphy served Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach from 2015 until his death in December 2024. Every homily anyone kept is here: 184 of them, most in the words he wrote out himself, plus what survives of his voice.

Why we listened

The homilies

For a lot of us, the homily was the reason we were there. He was funny on purpose and plain when it counted, and he talked about your actual week rather than an idea about it. They were impactful. They left a real mark on our lives.

This site is dedicated to keeping Fr. Danny’s perspective on God and on ordinary life present, for everyone who heard him and for everyone who never got the chance.

His homilies were posted week after week, which is why 184 of them survive along with nearly six hours of his recorded voice. A new one appears here every Saturday morning for the Sunday ahead, and the whole collection stays open and searchable in between.

I’ll see you in heaven…

He ended three Easters running this way. He would tell everyone that “Happy Easter” was not really what they meant, then ask them to turn and say the other thing to the person beside them.
